ICE climbing @ Serra da Estrela (Portugal)

14 03 2013

According to the legend every 8 years there is a weekend where “Cascata do Inferno” (waterfall from Hell) WI, V is thick enough to be climbed leading.

I was one of the lucky bastards that climbed it this year and, as such, I am one of the few who can testify that this ice waterfall actually exists and it is not just another portuguese climbing myth.
